Huntleys and Palmers Audio Club present to you

Joakim (Tiger Sushi / Versatile)
Musiccargo Live (Amontillado)

Saturday 12th, April

Stereo
Renfield Lane
Glasgow

11-3

£12

Musiccargo’s 2005 Der Schmetterling EP has yet to leave Huntleys and Palmers record bag since it’s purchase. Their self-proclaimed ‘Neo-Kraut’ style captures their extensive influences and results in a sound resembling Cluster being molested by Suicide – their liveset is not to be missed!

Joakim should require little introduction to most, he runs the awesome Tiger Sushi label, releasing tracks from Poni Hoax, Panico and Principles of Geometry – not to mention compilations from Ivan Smagghe, Volga Select, and the Dirty Soundsystem.

His DJing and production work is our main motivation behind booking him though, his own artist albums on Versatile are firm favourites of ours as is his work with protégés Poni Hoax. His DJ sets build from funk and soul through to acid and techno via disco and house, and we can’t allow his remix work to pass without mention. Remixing old tracks tracks from Antena, Severed Heads and Max Berlin to last years awesome Zombie Zombie and Gucci Soundsystem, his Midas touch to any forthcoming release fills us with childlike excitement every time without fail.

Housed in an old Rennie MacIntosh building hidden in Glasgow’s city centre, Stereo should provide the perfect setting for our guests…

This, Ladies and Gentlemen will be a night to remember – miss it at your peril!

Think that was Kill The DJ, non?

He put out Smagghe's How To Kill The DJ, think Kill The DJ put out Pt. 2. Might be wrong though...

He was one of the chosen few to stand in for Optimo when they've been away though and he was amazing!

In anticipation of this being the sell-out we expect, you can now pick up advance tickets from both Ticket Scotland and Monorail as of this evening.

Limited tickets will be available on the door, but we would advise you to grab the advance ones to ensure entry.

While you're at it, you can grab a Marissa Nadler one too for her gig on May 13th.

Chop chop.

There's still a few remaining tickets in all outlets - this won't be the case for long though, so hurry!
