As we March into April we keep the fires burning with regular Glasgow spinners Ooft, Numbers and Subculture's Harri returning to our DJ booth. They are all stalwarts of our local music scene and never fail to impress. Edinburgh's Astroboy returns as well to keep the familiar faces flowing as much as the rum. Guest appearances come in the form of Hint (Tru Thoughts / Ninja Tune), and Hudson Mohawke (Warp). These jetsetting producer extraordinaires play in the best venues all over Europe and still manage to drop into our wee bar when requested. They are both unique propositions and their DJ sets are just the ticket for our love of music. April Ivy pop it's Triptych cherry, armed to the teeth with sonic artillery and electronic battle weapons. Bassclef's wobbly bass dubstep sound makes it's Scottish debut while Spanish impresario Mwelsee shows us why he is at the forefront of the European electronic scene with his stripped down hip hop inflected beats. DJ sets come thick and fast with some of the country's most revered talents manning our humble turntables. DJ A'La Fu will take us through a decade of musical (bad meaning) goodness from Big Dada, Warp's latest signing Hudson Mo will rock the decks while Boom Monk Ben shows us all why Ninja Tune's Solid Steel have become so enamored with his style.

The fires keep burning at Ivy. If you are unlucky enough to be away from the toasting fire in the corner perhaps you can warm your soul with music from Astroboy (Departure Lounge) on Friday 18th and Numbers DJs on Saturday 19th.

Don't forget that we have the first in our series of bank holiday specials on Sunday 4th May. Featuring Ninja Tune's DK and disco edit king Mark E it's going to be a belter.
