The picture of DNA at the top is a cracker. Bet ya Thurston Moore idolised the main guy

the book is great, if a little dry. it's kind of odd that there were no books on no wave and then three come along at once.

I know what you mean. Not much personality comes off of the book, but the amount of information for someone such as myself who didn't know that much about the whole scene is astonishing

I'd like to check out the book featured here, too:

Thurston Moore's book on mixtape culture is fantastic, also

This one isn't strictly No Wave, but it's kind of relevant, especially to Sonic Youth fans like yourselves M:R/Stir.

Confusion Is Next, the Sonic Youth story. The link leads to a review by The Edge, the book itself is cheap as chips on Amazon/Ebay.

It's got a lot of good stuff about the NY scene that the band were inspired by/developed their sound in. There's a lot of "early years" stuff right through to the early 90's. Fairly comprehensive discography included, but I guess you can get that online too.

Anyway, It's worth checking out.
