oh the pain! i feel so shot down.

sorry if that's how you feel, but personally i think it's really arsey when folk come on here and tell everyone they've got certain tracks, but can't share them coz it's not out yet. well, good for you. that's great. but, really why bother even saying.

precisely, Dave. if you can't hunt it down, and it isn't out yet, might be just me but it feels a bit silly actively appealing to completists regarding it

"Blind" is fantastic, though

fuck sake you twats, anyone who gets pre release copies of anything is not allowed to share them, you are basically breaking the record companies trust and in turn you get taken off there lists...

and seeing as the record company in question is dfa, that would be a stupid thing to do.

be patient its out in march, not that long to wait...

I'm pretty sure Aquiline got it straight from the horse mouth, but mor eto the point; are you saying that people who get promos shouldn't mention that they have got it unless they are willing to share it on the internet and therefore jeopardise getting promos again?

The whole point of promo is to create interest or a buzz to help sales.

It makes total sense for something to discuss something great they've received and not be able to "share" (or let someone steal). the proper thing to do is to pre-order the release so that you can get it straight away. that's what the labels are doing with promo copies. that's the entire point.

Promo on this release would get A+ in my books.

It especially makes sense under these circumstances. Lighting Monkey can't remember the version, someone says it is either the club mix, or maybe the frankie knuckles mix.

aqualine mentions that there is a third version, says it isn't all that (at least I assume that is what 'it isn't worth it' means in this case, but it could be the sharing part) and then gets a whole load of stick for what could be interpreted as being helpful.

You have two versions early anyway. Maybe save the third one so you aren't sick of hearing it by its release in March. It's like the carl craig revelee remix all over again.

And the Serge Santiago version isn't really worth it; way too mininal...probably the Hercules Club Mix (the best mix, imo) - it's the biggest sounding mix. The Frankie Knuckles' mixes have a more downtempo, nineties house 'feel'.

don't think i've ever heard such a load of nonsense in my life. surely the fact that i have informed you of it's pending availability has served its purpose. i for one will not jeopardise receiving anything pre-release and would repeat everything that teamy, jill *edit* and euan said previous.

if you are desperate to hear it you can on serge's myspace page i believe.

I'm not really feeling the club mix all that much. Much prefer the original, then the frankie knuckles
