Ok, it's that time again, lets have them:

Five in no particular order:

Andy Stott - Luxury Problems
Raime - Quarter Turns Over a Living Line
Swans -The Seer
Duane Pitre - Feel Free
John Fahey - Blind Joe Death (I know, it's ancient, but I only truly discovered Fahey this year)

i'm pretty hopeless when it comes to new music these days. generally about 2/3 years behind.

so far i've enjoyed
soundgarden - king animal
el-p - cancer for cure
the handfull of tracks that chvrches have released so far
a mate recently turned me on to daphni's album which i'm really enjoying

Echatio really is dead. This is a nice easy one, and nothing. Stirmonster? Anyone?

yup, totally deid in here.

i don't listen to whole albums that much but here's a few (old and new) that gave my ears a lot of love in 2012. not in any order except for the first one which i easily listened to more than all the others combined.

Gareth Williams & Mary Curry - Flaming Tunes
John Bender - Memories Of Mindless Mechanical Monologues
Three Legged Race - Persuasive Barrier
Francis Bebey - African Electronic Music
Silent Servant - Negative Fascination
Bee Mask - When We Were Eating Unripe Pears
Monoton - Monotonprodukt 07
Dennnis Bovell - Mek It Run
N'Draman Blintch - Cikamele

best gig i saw by a country mile was Swans.

favourite reading - http://www.optimo.co.uk/books-2012/

always happy to hear when someone falls in love with John Fahey. Blind Joe Death is so great.

Yes, it's a nice record. Thanks for the list, it's always the one I enjoy most. I'll be getting some of those (where budget permits).
