it entails playing a load of different music along to it.

no, i'm playing a load of different music along to it. composing a new score to it would take about a year.

That's what I thought, it would have been an impressive project to be launching so low key.

The re-score and the film were excellent last night. Any chance of a tracklist? I'd especially like to know the Brazilian (?) vocal track and the late piece with the bells?

DD: Can you give us a sneak preview of any tracks you're planning to play on the night?
JD Twitch: I shall be busking this. It will be very freeform with very little pre planning. That might sound like a recipe for disaster but i think the best way to approach it is to go with how I am feeling and what the film is making me feel as it goes along.

I recorded it so managed to put together a tracklist. In the end I preprepared about half of it and then filled in the gaps live. Unfortunately the copy of the film they played ran faster than the copy I had worked to so the syncing went a bit astray. Anyway, glad you enjoyed it.

This Mortal Coil - Song To The Siren (Twitch processed version)
Popul Vuh - Engel Der Luft
Jon Hassell - Blue Night
Space System - Petik
Burundi Black - Burundi Black pt 2
Gala Drop - Ital
Zoviet France - Something Spooked The Horses
Les Baxter - Uncle Tom Tom
Chris Watson - No Man's Land
Nurse With Wound - Funeral Music For Perez Prado
Frank Harris with Maria Marquez - Canto Del Pilon
OOIOO - Asozan
Fuck Buttons - Sweet Love For Planet Earth
Conrad Schnitzler - Ballet Statique
SPK - In Flagrante Delicto
Psyche (Carl Craig) - Neurotic Behaviour
Omar Khorshid And His Magic Guitar - Raqsed El Fada
Coil - At The Heart Of It All
Michael Rother - Feuerland
Peter Gabriel - The Feeling Begins
Popul Vuh - Hand In Hand
Field recording of the great bell at Dormiton Cathedral, Great Rostov
Sequentia - Ar Ne Kuth Ich Sorghe Non
This Mortal Coil - Song To The Siren (Twitch processed version 2)
Psyche (Canada) - Eating Violins

The Brazilian one (Frank Harris with Maria Marquez) was actually Venezuelan which was a bit of a language liberty as the footage it was over was of Sao Paulo.

The bells was the field recording from Rostov.

I was debating making the recording the next podcast but it doesn't make much sense as a standalone listening experience.

Hmmm.... I wonder if you were the person who came up and asked about the "Brazilian" track bobobo? Outed??? Smile

If it's not going to be a podcast, would there still be any chance of it being made available for download? I'd love to put it on while watching my copy of the film, see how the new music changes the experience of it.

unfortunately, if you play the recording along to the dvd it will go completely out of sync as the dvd seems to play a little faster than the version i did it to.

but, here's the film with the new soundtrack dubbed over (film is quite lo fi)

here's a hi q version of the film with the soundtrack as a separate file. you can either sync them yourself by starting them both at the same time or play the soundtrack over the dvd but it won't be in sync.
