i know its quite daft eh. i suppose its a sign of respect or fondness for the club... but save optimo from what exactly? itself? someone else said on facebook that it makes it sound like they are going to build flats over optimo... haha

Hah - I just read the Hacienda book by Peter Hook yesterday - very entertaining.

And yeah the whole "save" thing - it bugs me cos it's not giving any support to what the guys wanna do next - like they will still be running the Sundays at the Sub Club, just doing different things, yaknowotImean?

do you think he actually wrote it, or was it like on of his "dj sets" and actually written by a ghost writer?

here, does anyone remember Ghostwriter?

Would it be possible to engage in the somewhat laborious and miserable task of a last optimo playlist?

whilst we're on the subject of non-musical last night requests, any chance of a cameo appearance by Betty Botox or Lady Miss Roland? Very Happy

whilst we're on the subject of last night requests, any chance of a 12 hour set? open the sub at 4pm. sounds reasonable!

Oh lordy, that has to be done. Wouldn't be too unreasonable an ask, surely? Unless you wanna look at it from the traditionalist's point of view - 11 til 3, boom. No messing. It begins and ends.

Pro's and cons to both. A straight-up, no-thrills regular night would be just as poignant a send off as an all-dayer. Fuck, who knows? It'll be all good no matter what Cool
