Had to register just to say that I'm gutted about this, but thanks for some unbelievable, mind-blowing nights (and a final few more to come) and I wish you all the very best for the future.

Thanks again.

You're seriously disrupting my wedding and stag do plans. Any chance you could just grind it out till July?

Thankyou kindly for everything.

Time to book a day off work.
Although a week may be better, I know how these things can go.

The end of an era. The beginning of a new one. Am I the only person who gets excited by change?????

Still, there is MORE....

The next 7 weeks are going to be fantastic!
It's like someone who finds out they have a terminal illness and decides to cramp as much in as possible into the remaining time, only it'll get better as it gets closer to the end instead of getting tired and weak.

I am sure various message boards will be full of gushing praise over the next few weeks but I like running with the crowd so I'll get in on the act as well. Back when I was the ripe old age of 19 I discovered Optimo and duly became a weekly regular for 2/3 years or so. I really considered it my musical education as well as my all time favourite social club. I wouldn't say it directly influenced my DJing but it certainly inspired me to approach it in a new way and develop my own take on genre busting dancefloor throw downs. These last few years I have not been able to attend nearly as much as I would have liked to and I really hope I can find the time to come down before the last one.

Optimo, you'll be missed but all good things come to an end. I'm excited to see and hear what will follow in it's wake. Don't be sad kids. Just be happy it was there in the first place....

April 1st isn't for another 3 weeks. You're early!

This is really sad news, I have only started coming during the past couple of years, since I moved to the central belt, but loved it every time I came and have enjoyed collecting as many live recordings as I could, I spent a great new year with you 2008/09. I'm now in Sweden but might try and get back for one last night if I can.

I agree that some sort of book would be a great keepsake.

Thanks for everything, good luck with whatever comes next.
