I didn't think I would ever be gutted about a club night ending but I am.

I'll always have great memories and a far better music collection as a result of Optimo.

I actually got together with my now wife after a night at Optimo although the baby we're expecting may prevent us making the last one ...

Nevermind, it sounds like there's going to be plenty of Twitch and Wilkes related goodness to look forward to ... cheers!

Sad news indeed, I haven't been for quite some time or to any night club for that matter but Optimo was and always will be a huge influence on the music I love. Might have to pull on the old dancing shoes one more time.

my burd just started crying.

i'll no doubt join her soon.

never has a club actually had an effect on my life before. i moved to glasgow in 1998 and considered myself a lover of music. after my first few optimos i realised i had barely touched the surface. optimo opened me up to so much music that has become my favourite and a huge part of my life. the whole ethos and vibe and open-mindedness i'd like to think has influended me in life as well. sad day.

BUT.. i look forward to whatever you guys do next!

just wanted to say how very grateful i feel to optimo and the sub club for the music and incredible experiences. for me optimo is, and always will be, incomparable to other club nights, it's always been much more than that and i'm very excited to see what comes next.

Heartbreaking news - along with a few other singificant things going on for me, this'll come to signify the end of an era in my life. Nothing will keep me from these last sessions..

I'm very sad to hear the news but after 13 years I can understand anyone wanting a new challenge. Optimo was truly something special. As long as people remember, nothing really dies.

Thank fuck. Perhaps now I can stop being such a chronic underacheiver.
