Between 1990 and 1994 I spent three nights a week dancing to music that pretty much exactly fits the bill for this thread. But, for some reason, I can't remember the names of any of the songs. Or anything else from that period.

Actually, some memories have surfaced:

Yeke Yeke - Mori Kante (sp?) - me aad a dealer at Cream called Aerobics Girl (because she wore exercise gear, did aerobic routines instead of dancing and kept all her drugs in a bumbag - now that's 1990s!) had a special dance we did to this.

Short Dick Man - ??? - was that a woman singing or a drag queen or a woman slowed down? I seem to recall Carl Cox playing this a lot, or the acapella of it, at least.

Due to the abovementioned memory problems, I honestly think these are really great songs. Probably shouldn't attempt to verify that, eh?

Nightcrawlers - Push The Feeling On (The Dub of Doom)

Hardfloor remix of 'Yeke Yeke' is well boom, the original pretty balearic. The video for the track is pretty weird in a nothing-really-relates-type-way.

Can anyone pick out specific tracks from any of the above which have that big classic piano sound? Such as the Mariah Carey one... I love stuff like that

For the big piano sound.

Kym Sims - To Blind to See It

Hyper go go - High

Last Rhythm featuring silvia carter - last rhythm

Katherine E - I'm alright

K-Klass - Rhythm is a mystery

bizarre inc - i'm gonna get you/ Playing with knives/ climax

DjH Feat Steffy - I Like it

Brothers in Rhythm - Such a Good Feeling

4 for Money - Moment in Time

SBam - Take me Away

N-joi "Anthem

Djaimin "Give You"

All these tracks were made at the height of the 'italio' sound from 1990 -1992. Huge female vocals and pianos to match. brilliant stuff.

ah memories! (although officially i was listening to L7 and babes in toyland)

i always especially loved "dreamer" by livin' joy and "right in the night" which was jam n' spoon i think. probably considered naff as fuck but i was an outsider looking in!
