I remember back in the day quite a few of my mates bought "Strut" from hearing Popimo in the club. Some of them were mistaken into thinking it would have the Angry Germans vocal though.

I always thought that track sounded great on the dancefloor, but didnt have the same effect in my room.

I also have Stealth and Storm. I remember ages ago a figure was mentioned as to how many Strut had sold. How many did Stealth and Storm sell?

Does Poptimo sample Strut or something? Is Strut a band ? And does the original Poptimo by Mount Florida have Angry German vocals over it ?
Im totally clueless here but im intrigued!

I vaguely remember hearing this amazing song in Optimo once with foreign vocals on it and my friend told me it might have been Poptimo.

Strut is the name of an EP that the tune "Poptimo" is on. I think it was the 3rd of a set of 3. The other EPs were called Stealth and Storm.

All 3 EPs were by Mount Florida.

As far as I'm aware Angry Germans is the affectionate name for the Poptimo tune with a guy talking in a German accent voiceover. Maybe it was a remix, im not sure.

ok. so, "poptimo" was a mount florida song (or rather instrumental) on their "strut" ep. mount florida were twitch and his musical cohort mp lancaster. there is a song on the mount florida album called "yo la kinski" that features innes smith singing about angry germans (innes is the super talented guy who mcs at espookio and also hosted at our birthday parties). twitch (under the alias kelvin bridge) took the vocals from "yo la kinski" and stuck them on top of a reworked version of "poptimo" which became "yo la poptimo" or to most people who came to the club "that angry german song" and was released as a bootleg 12". "yo la poptimo" became an uber optimo anthem and was performed live with innes doing his angry german routine several times at the club back in the day. i hope that clears it up. here's a ysi of "yo la poptimo" -

and stanners. i can't remember how many "stealth" and "storm" sold. a few thousand copies maybe (far more than they would sell in today's climate where nobody buys records anymore no doubt).

right, bedtime.

off the top of my head.....if you have a wave editor like sony sound forge, just open them both up, copy the second one and then paste it on to the end of the first one....

or

if you burn with nero, burn the cd with 2 tracks and make the gap between them 0 secs and it should work

hope that helps
