OPTIMO PHOTOS
On Sunday October 7th 2007 we transformed Optimo into the set of the film Apocalypse Now and called the night Apocalypse Optimo. Thanks to the efforts of Will Potts and his team of set designers, lighting technicians, pyrotechnicians, make up artists and actors (who spent 12 hours setting the club up), the night exceeded our wildest expectations. It was possibly the silliest, the most fun and the craziest night in Optimo's entire history. The whole night was interspersed with dialogue from the film, war sounds, some VERY, VERY loud explosions and a LOT of smoke. We think Francis Ford Coppola would have approved.
(The most commonly asked questions on the night were "Why are you doing this?" and "What's it all in aid of?". The answer of course was, "for FUN!" Does anyone remember laughter?)
